TIC from GEWI means Proven Interoperability
Whether you need to share, view, collect, aggregate, or distribute data between agencies, offices, control centers, districts, counties, states, or even countries, TIC can be configured to your interoperability requirements using this highly-flexible commercial off-the-shelf solution (COTS). TIC has an 11 year track record and is proven worldwide, such as by the European Road Information Center (ERIC) which provides 100% live data interoperability between 22 countries in seven different languages. TIC is already operating in over 100 projects worldwide and can be deployed faster, more affordably, and with less risk than build-your-own solutions. Why reinvent the wheel? With TIC, you can let your imagination flow, so let us know… at the ITS World Congress next week!Did you know that TIC is not just for traffic? For example, did you know that some customers uses TIC for radio program associated data (PAD) such as song title, artist photo, and schedules, for broadcasting over FM radio data service (RDS) and digital audio broadcast (DAB)? And there’s much more. With the new TIC architecture, you can let your imagination flow, so why not let us know your ideas, requirements, and even your problems, at the ITS World Congress? TIC is a commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) platform solution proven in over 100 projects operating worldwide, and can be deployed faster, more affordably, and with less risk than build-your-own solutions. See TIC at GEWI booth #1025 at the ITS World Congress, New York City, or contact jim.oneill@gewi.com to discuss your requirements.

TIC for Radio and TV Traffic Reports – create useful information audiences want to hear and see.
TIC can create formatted traffic reports from a consistent set of traffic, weather, news, advertisements, and more. Information can be localized and organized by type, market area, priority, advert sponsorship level, and many other criteria. Reports can be automatically or manually created by operators. Data can be collected from service providers, sent to web sites and for radio data broadcast (for navigation device using RDS-TMC & TPEG), personalized for IVR and mobile phone text, and time scrolled for announcers. Data can include speed and flow, traffic events, roadside camera images, parking availability, fuel prices, social events (such as sports), pollution and pollen levels, general news items, audio files, text, program associated data (PAD), advertisements, and more. TIC is a commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) platform solution proven in over 100 projects operating worldwide, and can be deployed faster, more affordably, and with less risk than build-your-own solutions.

TIC for Traffic Data Capture on PDA’s – create data for conditions on the road.
TIC on PDA’s can be used by commuters, patrols, law enforcement agencies, DOT employees, and contractors, to create, send, and receive traffic and road condition data, directly at the scene. TIC can use GPS data from the PDA to accurately capture locations for accidents, incidents, road works, road conditions such as flooding, traffic congestion, and obstructions. The data can be checked and authorized by operators and used to inform travelers on websites, navigation devices, radio and TV, and to improve the efficient management of DOT resources with more accurate data. TIC is a commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) solution proven in over 100 projects operating worldwide, and can be deployed faster, more affordably, and with less risk than build-your-own solutions.

TIC for Work Zones and Road Conditions – inform travelers consistently
TIC can be used to provide a consistent set of information about work zones and road conditions to travelers using websites, travel information services, navigation devices, and more. Travelers can easily understand clear travel information in a consistent style for entire cities, states, and nations. Radio and TV stations can automatically receive custom formatted reports to announce local work zone times and lane closures, road condition such as ice and flooding, and visibility such as snow and fog. Operators can use TIC’s intuitive user interface to quickly create, update, and approve data. Operators can also be automatically alerted when monitored road conditions change, for example based on weather data received from road-side weather stations and weather information services. TIC is a commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) solution proven in over 100 projects operating worldwide, and can be deployed faster, more affordably, and with less risk than build-your-own solutions.

TIC for Traffic Plans and Simulation – Create and Operate with Live and Historic Data
TIC can be used in off-line mode with historic data to create, simulate, and compare pre-defined traffic plans for expected traffic situations. TIC can then be used in on-line mode with both live and historic data to monitor the network. Once a situation is identified, TIC can recommend the best plans to operators within minutes, and if an unexpected situation is identified, TIC can be used to create and recommend new traffic plans, such as during evacuations. TIC can consider the complete road network, traffic patterns, weather, work zones, social events, sensors, CO2, NOx, and particle emissions, and more. TIC is a commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) solution proven in over 100 projects operating worldwide, and can be deployed faster, more affordably, and with less risk than build-your-own solutions.
See TIC at GEWI booth #1025 at the ITS World Congress or contact jim.oneill@gewi.com to discuss your requirements.
