Metropia is launching its patented congestion-reducing system to help drivers in the New York-New Jersey-Connecticut metropolitan region save time, avoid traffic, and earn rewards. A team of 500 “Pioneers” will have the first opportunity to test drive the app in the area. To join the Pioneer program, download the app for free on the Apple App Store or Google Play."

Operating in partnership with local transportation agencies and stakeholders, the Metropia app’s unique traffic-prediction tools empower drivers to select the ideal time to travel and the best routes to take, improving their commute while reducing the region’s gridlock. As Metropia’s drivers avoid traffic, they accrue reward points that can be redeemed for items like gift cards to merchants like Macy’s, Amazon, and Starbucks. Commuters earn additional rewards for carpooling with Metropia's DUO feature. As drivers reduce their C02 emissions by using the app, Metropia plants trees through its unique partnership with American Forests.
Metropia is currently supporting the New York City Department of Transportation (NYCDOT) in the DriveSmart project and the New York State Department of Transportation in the development of the Concept of Operations plan for the Long-Island Expressway. For more information, visit metropia.com/ny.
