In 2010, there were 6
million vehicle crashes in America, of which 93% were attributable to human
error (KPMG Self-Driving Car Report 2012). The key question for the automotive
world is: could drivers ultimately be taken off the wheel, meaning faster
uptake of self-driving cars and creating an autonomous V2X community?
In this exclusive podcast with Chris Mailey, Vice President at the Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI), we investigate the growing investment and interest within the autonomous vehicle sector. The podcast described how autonomous vehicles will ultimately become integrated into the existing connected V2V and V2I ecosystem with potentially revolutionary safety benefits across America.
