State DOT’s use HERE data to prepare for solar eclipse traffic
For the first time in 39 years, a total solar eclipse will be viewable in the U.S. on August 21st. State Departments of Transportation across the eclipse path are utilizing HERE Technology’s real-time and historic traffic data to help manage the expected mass influx of sky watchers. Oregon, Missouri and North Carolina have all been working with HERE to optimize their departments’ operations, traffic management centers and delivery of real-time traffic information to travelers across roads large and small. Be sure to read more about how DOT’s are preparing for this historic event here.
