Tuesday Transportation Oddities

When you think of interstate highways, limited access roadways typically come to mind, There are exceptions however. One of the most egregious examples is I-78 in Jersey City, New Jersey. On the section connecting the New Jersey Turnpike and the Holland Tunnel, the highway becomes a surface street with gas stations, a Home Depot, traffic signals, sidewalks and crosswalks. Just about everything an interstate is not supposed to have.
