Tuesday Transportation Oddities
While there seems to be some dispute about this, I suggest that this is the world’s shortest ferry ride. It’s 200 feet (61 meters) across a gap on the Island Line Bike Trail across Lake Champlain in Vermont. The trail follows an old railroad line and the ferry fills the gap that was once covered by a railroad drawbridge.
