Tuesday Transportation Oddities
Massena, New York is the location of the first bridge in the world to use aluminum as part of its construction. The railroad bridge was opened in 1946. It was used for part of a railroad bridge over the Grasse River. Alcoa had a plant in the town and was served by the railroad.
