Tuesday Transportation Oddities

The TCN frequently features stories of high tech at toll crossings around the world. What you don’t often see are stories of those quirky private toll bridges. A recent news article said there are less than two dozen left in the US. Many of these are mom and pop operations, such as the Oldtown Toll Bridge between Maryland and West Virginia. No E-ZPass here! Tolls are collected in a small pot at the end of a long stick.
