Tuesday Transportation Oddities
This past weekend, while en route to a rail trail bike ride, I happened upon an historical marker on a road in Harriman, New York. The marker, along with a large monument hidden from the roadway, mark the first train order delivered by telegraph. It’s said to have happened in 1851 on the New York & Erie Railroad.
