New Jersey has lots of traffic and to accommodate all that traffic it has had to build infrastructure that sets world records. One example is the Driscoll Bridge on the Garden State Parkway. It crosses the Raritan River connecting Sayreville and Woodbridge. The bridge has 15 travel lanes and six shoulder lanes. If that’s not enough, just 30 feet to the east are the Vieser and Edison bridges carrying Route 9. They have six lanes and two shoulders.
