From time to time, I’ve had stories in the TCN about sign shops that make the highway hardware that tells you where you are and how to get where you’re going. These ancient Roman “street signs” were recently discovered in BoΔazkale, Turkey. When I think of what the Roman Empire sign shop looked like, I picture something out of The Flintstones with a guy working with a hammer and chisel.
