Tuesday Transportation Oddities

It only takes about five minutes to travel the 2.7 miles (4.3 km) of the US’s shortest scheduled commuter rail line. It runs between Princeton and Princeton Junction and is affectionately known as “The Dinky.” The branch was opened in 1865 and was a part of the Pennsylvania Railroad for most of its existence. Today it’s operated by NJ Transit.
