You may find a variety of things hanging from bridges. For example, the American flag hangs from the New Jersey tower of the George Washington Bridge on some federal holidays. Lights also hang from many bridges over navigable waterways showing where the channel is located. In England, you’ll find a straw bale lashed to a bridge.
