If you learned to drive in New Jersey before the 1980s you knew Darwin’s theory of the survival of the fittest had no better real-life example than going through a traffic circle. There were no yield signs or rules and you got a break in the traffic pretty much by playing chicken with the other drivers. Some drivers in a rural part of Kentucky are learning how a roundabout works.
