TIC for Work Zones and Road Conditions – inform travelers consistently

TIC can be used to provide a consistent set of information about work zones and road conditions to travelers using websites, travel information services, navigation devices, and more. Travelers can easily understand clear travel information in a consistent style for entire cities, states, and nations. Radio and TV stations can automatically receive custom formatted reports to announce local work zone times and lane closures, road condition such as ice and flooding, and visibility such as snow and fog. Operators can use TIC’s intuitive user interface to quickly create, update, and approve data. Operators can also be automatically alerted when monitored road conditions change, for example based on weather data received from road-side weather stations and weather information services. TIC is a commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) solution proven in over 100 projects operating worldwide, and can be deployed faster, more affordably, and with less risk than build-your-own solutions.
