1967 **45th anniversary** The Aldene Connection opened in New Jersey, rerouting trains to Newark.  The connection meant a number of changes including the closure of the Central Railroad of New Jersey's waterfront terminal in Jersey City and the end of ferry service between Jersey City and Manhattan
