Today in Transportation History

1961 **50th anniversary** A train car filled with Christmas travelers plunged from the Fiumarella viaduct in Italy killing 71 people.

1986 **25th anniversary** Voyager landed at Edwards Air Force Base in California, becoming the first aircraft to fly around the world non-stop without refueling. The plane was piloted by Jeana Yeager and Dick Rutan.
